In reviewing the US 1920 and 1930 Censuses, other ARGALL
families have started to come to light. Some of these are giving Romania
and Eastern Europe as the land of their birth; others seem to come from Mexico
or Spain.
Clearly these are not linked to the Cornish families of this
Study. It would seem that the ARGALL name has phonetic similarities
in other languages, and the anglicisation of these has resulted in the same
spelling being adopted. I do not believe that these families have
the Celtic bloodline and so, until other evidence comes to light, these families
cannot be linked to those originating from Cornwall.
